SDU Scientific Library organized ‘Week of Online Training’ from October 12-16, 2020.
As a part of the training sessions, the special guest from Central California, USA :us:- Leila Sartayeva-Francisco recorded series of videos on the following topics:
- Professional letter writing
- How to write a research paper? (3 parts)

Also, special guest speakers from Nazarbayev University were invited for these sessions, where they shared their experience and knowledge. The language of recordings is English.

- SDU Databases and how to use them
- Plagiarism and how to avoid it
- Effective email writing

During the meeting participants discussed Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s book “The Little Prince", played games and answered to the Quiz questions, got prizes and a lot of emotions.

SDU Library has assigned subject librarians for each school, who will assist instructors and their students in developing information literacy, searching for and evaluating relevant scholarly materials, and help to prepare for research, teaching, and learning activities in online/offline format.
In the distance education format, we provide the following online services:
Acceptance of applications from Instructor for the purchase of the literature
Supporting instructors’ courses by conducting online training for students (via Webex platform or in the recorded format) during the lecture or after the class.
Please watch our YouTube channel and find our online training sessions there. You are more than welcome to put them in your Moodle classrooms and recommend them to your students.
