Artificial Intelligence Usage

Regulation on the usage of artificial intelligence tools of SDU University envisages the usage of artificial intelligence technology by the staff, faculty and students of the University.

The University recognizes the growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) in various academic disciplines and operational processes. While AI has tremendous potential for innovation and development, some uses of AI are risky, so its use must be informed, transparent, ethical, and responsible. This regulation outlines the principles, definitions, rules governing the ethical use of AI by learners and faculty members of the university. By adhering to the policies and guidelines outlined in this document, students and faculty can harness the transformative potential of AI while maintaining standards of academic integrity and ethical behavior.

Our main principles are:

● Awareness - each party using AI tools should inform the responsible persons (teachers/heads of departments) about the process and the result of the implementation of AI in their work;

● Transparency - each party using AI tools should clearly and concisely document the process and the result of the implementation of AI in their work;

● Ethical - each party must use AI tools in accordance with published criteria for the use of AI in the sillabus or other university document;

● Accountability - each party using AI tools should approach the work with special responsibility and take ownership of the results.
