The Scientific Library of Suleyman Demirel University was opened in 1996 and is one of the most important departments of the university. The mission of the Scientific Library is to provide high-quality and effective access to library and information resources for university staff and students, as well as to provide researchers with quality services for working with electronic databases in research.

In the 25-year history of SDU, the Scientific Library has access to more than 400,000 publications. It consists of literature in Kazakh, Russian, English and other languages.

Library structure:
- Cataloging and Acquisition Division;
- Patron Services Division;
- Reference and research activities;
- Department of Digital Technologies and Institutional Repository.

SDU Scientific Library is open from 9.00 to 18.00 with a lunch break from 12.00 to 13.00. Additional working hours of the library are provided during the control and examination period, if necessary and at the request of students. Electronic resources of the library are available on campus and remotely. The list of required literature is carried out through the electronic search system of the library on the Library's website

- To get books from the library, readers must bring an ID card. This card is needed to subscribe and access the library, register and receive books in their accounts, as well as to use the reading room and electronic resource database.

- In order to provide informational support to education and science, a website of the Scientific Library of SDU was developed. On this portal, patrons can access the electronic resources that allow readers to search for articles they need remotely. In addition to the available electronic materials, the Library collects requests from teachers to purchase temporary and permanent subscriptions to the database of the main directions of the university faculties.

- In addition to the library work, our staff always try to support the social life of students. Every year, new social projects are developed and organized by Book Club and librarians. These include the Book Crossing project, the Book Discussion, the Read & Lead project, the Book Donation project, the SDU Heroes project and others.
